Once again, careful vegetative planning is critical to the long term success
of any greenroofing project. Prudent greenroof plant material selection
can result in a thriving community of different species living together under
similar environmental conditions. Whenever possible, why not design
with plants that offer additional benefits to local wildlife, such as providing
cover, or food such as nectar or berries?
These lists are meant as guidelines for
greenroofs, and experimentation will most certainly be necessary in every part
of the world. By no means are they meant to be exhaustive, but simply are
a starting point!
