Project Description & Details

VivoCity, an integral part of Singapore’s 24-hectare HarbourFront precinct, is a multi-award winning dynamic integrated waterfront business, entertainment and lifestyle hub developed by Mapletree with an Asian focus. As Singapore’s largest shopping mall, VivoCity features a vibrant mix of about 300 dining, retail and entertainment outlets from the focal point of its central atrium with a unique 300 meter waterfront promenade. Co-designed by internationally acclaimed Japanese architect, Toyo Ito and DP Architects, VivoCity’s undulating forms give continuous curvature to the structure’s halls, facade and roof, reformulating the typical hard-edged, ‘big box’ mall type.

The lush third level rooftop sky park was designed to provide topographies of landscaped gardens, observation landings, and a large shallow water feature for wading, spanning the area of four Olympic-sized swimming pools. The mega mall’s public roof garden is accessible to everyone and offers an innovative use of landscape as a part of the shopping experience. Covering the beautifully landscaped roof is a variety of greenroofing products supplied by Elmich including Eurathane® 2000, EVALON® V, and Fleximent® 201 for waterproofing, VersiCell® sub-soil drainage cells, and VersiWeb® cellular slope stabilizing panels.

VivoCity provides a seamless and user-friendly environment where people of all ages can enjoy its numerous offerings.
