Kingsland Wildflowers is a Greenpoint community project committed to providing the neighborhood with living and growing infrastructure to support native NYC wildlife. The project is also focused on developing educational programming in the space related to sustainable conservation practices and wildlife protection. The Festival will invite local residents to explore the 22,000 square foot green roof while adding an educational component with community organizations tabling and running activities to engage families and children. The festival offers access for many Brooklyn residents to learn about environmental initiatives while exploring green infrastructure dedicated to native plants and birds.
