Managed by co-trustees Dr. John Sweet and William Sweet, the William H. Kerr Family Foundation is an 8-year-old, family-run nonprofit that provides charitable funding for various organizations, many of them in the environmental arena. The foundation building greenroof project began in the spring of 2005, on a building over 150 years old which originally housed a community shower house. The William H. Kerr Family Foundation Building was awarded LEED Platinum in a ceremony on October 17, 2007 with 58 LEED (Existing Building) credits, the city of St. Louis’ first.

In addition to serving as the office space for the trustees of the foundation, the building on the north riverfront will also accommodate local bicycle enthusiasts by providing a space for secure storage and a changing area.

80 Green Paks (340 sf);
Johns Manville EPDM Roofing over R-30 insulation (3 inches).
