Completed in the Summer of 2009, the green roof atop the Gallup Corporate Headquarters, Phase II Expansion in Omaha, Nebraska is the first intensive GreenGrid system to be installed in Nebraska. The LEED Silver building is located adjacent to the Missouri River and is part of Omaha?s Riverfront Development.
Plants were grown out in the GreenGrid modules for three months at a local nursery before being delivered to the project site. The result of the four day module installation was an established green roof. The building?s fourth floor looks out onto the green roof and rooftop terrace. Employees and guests can walk out onto the terrace to eat lunch, enjoy fresh air, observe the Missouri River and the multiple walking trails, including the Bob Kerry Pedestrian Bridge. The terrace also has three large planters with planted trees and ground cover.
