This Home Depot store on Chicago?s Southside now features 60,198 ft2 of environmentally friendly green roof, completed in the fall of 2005. The purpose of this green roof design is to help reduce pollution and cut the store?s energy and maintenance costs.

This 60,198 ft2 GreenGrid? green roof was completed in 10 days by Christy Webber landscapes. The 4,398 40?x 40?x 4? GreenGrid? extensive modules were planted with three varieties of drought tolerant plants, they are Sedum spurium ?Fuldaglut?, Sedum acre, and Sedum ?Bailey?s Gold?.
