The Green Roof at Rensselaer Polytecnic Institute (RPI) is a class gift of the graduating class of 2010. The roof membrane was replaced at the end of March 2011 and the plants planted by RPI students on the 21st and 22nd of April.
The Class Gift is a long-standing tradition at Rensselaer. It is a type of philanthropy that exhibits pride, loyalty, and devotion to our Institute. From the clock in the Hassan Quad, to the ’86 Gym, to the stone sign on the corner of 15th and Sage Avenues, Class Gifts are forever campus landmarks that signify a class’s existence at Rensselaer.
