The unique living wall at Tatalo Hotel has been conceived by VerdeGreen to benefit from nature within a manmade environment. Our living wall is a vertical biowall, designed to create thermal comfort, attenuate noise, improve air quality and beautify. This piece of living art will prosper among visitors, guests and hosts augmenting their sense of wellbeing and relaxation.

T?ntalo Hotel’s VerdeGreen Wall has the capacity to consume and process the same amount of CO2 as three 5-meter high native trees, reflecting dedication to green initiatives and providing a spiritual and physicall connection to nature.

Encompassing 8 meters wide and 2 stories high, 827 modular recycled plastic receptacles were put together in a geometrical pattern to cover 48 m2 of space in the lobby area.

983 plants of 8 different native species were individually identified with an alpha-numerical code that allows us to trace each plant and monitor its adaptation and development. The vegetation was planted in ProTERRA GM, our specially formulated organic lightweight growing media. Irrigation is provided by reclaimed rainwater direct from the atrium’s skylights.
