The Blooming Baroque is an annual garden show which takes place at the historical garden of the Ludwigsburg Castle. It is an
exposition of live flowers, bushes and trees planted according to Baroque rules of landscape gardens. In this context the two
pay booths at the entrance of the garden were greened with the help of the Systemfassade by Helix Pflanzen GmbH. Beside the
integrated automatic irrigation and fertilization system the vegetation modules can be changed easily. That allows an attractive changing planting throughout the year.
Mrs. Jaqueline van de Kloet, a Dutch landscape architect, designed the planting plan. When the garden show was opened in March 2013 she surprised the visitors with two pay booths covered with flowering Violas which provided a beautiful sensual experience and fitted in the overall picture of the garden show.
In June the pay booths got a new summer look. The old vegetation modules were replaced by a colourful plant mix of Lavender spp., Euphorbia spp., Lirope muscari and Pulmonaria spp. In order to prevent frost damage the vegetation modules will be removed at the end of September and will be stored in the green house during the winter.
