At the beginning of May, FORBES’ tech team (edited By Tomio Geron)  compiled their annual list of the most successful venture capitalists of the last 12 months – The Midas List – of which five were female (read The Five Most Powerful Female Venture Capitalists by Meghan Casserly).

They also rightly point out that venture capitalists  could not exist without companies to invest in.

As a result of Meghan’s article, FORBES contributor Kate Brodock  wrote 5 Women-led Tech Companies To Invest In – enter Vanessa Keitges, CEO of Columbia Green (again).

This is what she wrote about Columbia Green:

“After having purchased the green roofing company in 2009, Vanessa Keitges has led Columbia Green through a tremendous period of growth – last year they partnered with roofing giant Firestone to install an ecoroof for Wal-Mart and just opened an east coast headquarters – and they’ve just closed on an oversubscribed Series B round of funding at $1.2m.” ~ FORBES, May 3, 2012
