Located on a former 700,000 square foot brownfield site, 360 State Street is a nationally recognized and award winning 32-story mixed use luxury residential and retail development within walking distance from Yale University. Costing $180 million, the multi-use modernist building offers 500 luxury apartments (including 50 affordable units) and 25,000 sq ft of retail space; it is the U.S.’s first LEED Platinum certified development under the LEED for Neighborhood Development pilot program.
A massive 80,000-pound fuel cell powers 360 State Street and other unique features include street-level shops, a community-owned food co-op, Zipcar car-sharing program, electric car charging stations, and a rooftop terrace with a heated swimming pool, sundeck and impeccably landscaped rooftop gardens. The half-acre greenroof features native and adapted plants with an expansive lawn for residents’ enjoyment with rainwater harvesting and irrigation. 400 cubic yards of rooflite intensive and 200 cubic yards of rooflite semi-intensive growing media were manufactured locally in Connecticut by Garick.
