As Media Sponsors for CitiesAlive we at Greenroofs.com don’t want you to miss out on the deadline to share and promote your work to the North American industry association, members, and colleagues!
Presented by Green Roofs for Healthy Cities, the CitiesAlive 2017: 15th Annual Green Roof and Wall Conference will be held beautiful Seattle, WA on September 18 – 21, 2017 at the Sheraton Seattle Hotel. The theme this year is Building resilience and equity across Cascadia: people, community and places and will explore the science behind green roof and wall performance, technology and design.
Greenroofs and walls are gaining traction on the west coast with the recently implemented green roof ordinance in San Francisco, as well as new policy and research initiatives in nearby cities such as Vancouver, Portland, and Denver.
“We are seeking regional content from the Cascadia region as well as innovative research, design, and policy proposals from across North America. Specifically, the proposals we are looking for focus on how green roof and walls provide benefits for the entire Cascadia region, including:
• Improved physical and mental health and well-being
• Increased resilience to climate change and extreme weather
• Improved water quality in Puget Sound and Cascadia’s other water bodies
• Improved aesthetics and quality of life
• Enhanced social justice”~ Green Roofs for Healthy Cities
