Do you have any ideas or comments about how the coronavirus will affect the greenroof and greenwall industry? Probably the same as with other construction sectors and every market in general that involves human touch – shutdowns for now or continuing with protective gear and social distancing. Have you been affected in terms of loss of pay? We certainly hope not, and hope you have a strong support base.

I believe once the danger of widespread infection has passed and we are out of isolation we’ll be able to return to a constructive status quo. But we must be patient by listening to the doctors and scientists – the coronavirus has its own timetable – and kind with one another, too.

What about our #VirtualSummit2019? Do you think we should open it up again to new speakers and Q&As? In addition to increasing awareness of our living architecture market and industry, the Mission of the Greenroofs & Walls of the World™ Virtual Summits is to inform, share, and create a global social media experience online for learning and networking via the power of the Internet. It evolved from a reality that not all people can travel to watch experts in the field, after all.

We never thought one of the Virtual Summits benefits would be the very fact that we’re NOT physically interacting with our friends and colleagues and actually promoting community isolation!

Stop the spread & stay safe

Until we can get back to the live social interaction of in-person events and conferences, let’s continue to stop the spread and flatten the curve!  Wash your hands often, practice social distancing, and take advantage of social media and other internet-based technologies such as virtual events, webinars, and even telemedicine to stay safe.
