Please join the New York chapter of the Association of Landscape Architects on Thursday, June 8th at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center for an educational hands-on tour of the urban farm, orchard, and outdoor event space on the rooftop of this iconic building. Covering more than an acre of rooftop on the newly expanded convention center, the active farm operation managed by Brooklyn Grange produces a variety of crops which are used in the building’s kitchens.

The event will include a site tour, which will provide ASLA CEUs (1.5 units) for learning opportunities in small group sessions. The three ecological zones in the park will be highlighted during these 15-to-20-minute sessions led by representatives from various project participants. A reception will be held after the tour for event attendees. Refreshments and hors d’oeuvres will be provided.
