Lunchtime Learning: Keys to a Successful Green Roof
November 10, 2021 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm EST
This presentation will provide valuable information on the design and implementation of a green roof. The audience will learn information from other disciplines such as stormwater management engineering and architecture that will provide information to make a green roof installation successful. In addition, designers will learn how to specify the green roof so their client can take advantage of the best system for their project.
Green roofs systems encapsulate wellness factors and biophilic design ideals. Green roofs provide access to views/nature, new green habitat (especially in urban areas), and the occupant comfort factors derived from a well insulated & protected roof (sound attenuation, membrane longevity, and building energy performance).
